- Tent Air Freshener: Place a dryer sheet under your air mattress or sleeping bag to keep your tent smelling fresh.
- Pet Hair Remover: Do you take your pet camping but hate all the hair that comes along with them? Wipe a dryer sheet on the hair-covered item to collect pet hair.
- Baked-on Food Cleaner: Fill the pan or dish with water, add a dryer sheet and let it sit overnight. In the morning, the baked-on food can be wiped clean.
- Bug Repellent: Dryer sheets have insect-repelling properties; place them in the corners of tents, or anywhere you tend to see spider webs.
- Bug Bite Treatment: Put an end to itching. Dab a cotton ball soaked in white vinegar on mosquito bites and insect stings. It will stop them from itching and help disinfect the area so they heal faster.
- Cracked Eggs Prevention: Prevent eggs from cracking as they hard-boil by adding two tablespoons of white vinegar to the water. The eggs will stay intact, and the shells will peel off more easily when you’re ready to eat them.
- Fruits and Vegetables Rinse: Add two tablespoons of white distilled vinegar to one pint water. Use the mixture to wash fresh fruits and vegetables, then rinse thoroughly. The solution kills more pesticide residue than does pure water.
- Grill Cleaner: To remove charcoal buildup from your grill, spray white distilled vinegar on balled up aluminum foil and scrub the grate thoroughly.
- Egg Cooking: Make a fluffier omelet by adding a ½ teaspoon of baking soda for every three eggs.
- Hand Washing: Rid stubborn smells from hands after cooking by gently rinsing them with coffee grounds.
